When i did both my air servo`s for noise i looked for the cabin air filter. I looked behind that slide door you take off behind the glove box. I think the previous owner threw it away. Is this is the right spot? 2001 RX-300, Thanks

 

It is really easy to find. There are pictures in the Owner's Manual. If you don't have an Owner's Manual, you can contact Lexus and get one for free.

Empty the glove box and slide out the black plastic rear panel of the glove box. You will see another black plastic panel behind it with tabs on it. You can either pull this one out with your fingers or use pliers to pull it out. This will expose the side of the cabin air filter and you just grab it and pull it out.

 

The tray that the filter sits in was missing when I bought my RX. I had to get a new one from the dealer, I don't remember what it cost me, but is was not unreasonable.

Can any of you tell me why my air defuser have very little air come out on my dash board, air filter cleaned. Both side air defuser appear OK.

 

1. Filter plugged ("cleaning" may not have worked if its really plugged up)
2. Blower motor bad
3. Leak/obstruction in ducts.

 

Does anyone have picture of how to replace air servo on my Lexus RX300 AWD.
