Default RX 300 ABS Help please.

My 99 RX 300 has an ABS Issue. When I come to a complete stop while turning in either direction the pedal vibrates which is the ABS activating. This is the only time it happens. I have cleaned all the sensors and check the two reluctor wheels in the rear and they are not cracked. There is NO code. In order for my wife to drive safely I have pulled the Relay so the ABS does not activate and the problem is gone but I do need to repair the ABS system. Does anyone have any ideas where to look next. All help is very welcome. I have a safety inspection coming up soon and this is my number one priority.

Lexus has a dedicated [other than the OBDII] and they can check the system out for you.

How are the tires? It could be the ABS is functioning correctly and the problem is the grip of the tires.

Thank you for the reply. The tires are really close to brand new and properly inflated. I do all my repair work myself. Changing parts is easy. The hard part is finding out what is broken and getting right the first time. I am at the point with this car I think I am going to pay Lexus to find out what is broken and then charge the parts myself. There is no ABS lite and the dealer is going to tell me they can not reproduce the problem. Then hit me with an hour or two for diagnostic charges. I just checked all the Wheel sensors and the two front were 1.5 and 1.6 on a 2k scale and the two rear were 1.06. I agree something is telling the abs to activate but what? Can the dealer tell which sensor is activating the Abs?

seems to me somebody had a damaged abs tooth ring on one of the sites. I cant find it but if the sensors are good than maybe look closely at the rings. other thing is unplug the abs cable from the main pump and reseat, maybe it has some corrosion.

Does not have to be in a full turn position. Thomas I have checked all the teeth on the ring multiple times. I even went as far as taking the rear passenger shaft out of the car to look at it. All the teeth are there and no cracks between them. This car is kicking my bottom. I will check the pump wiring connector but that is a far shot since it only happens when turning and just before a complete stop. Why do these cars have such difficult problems to solve.

If it only happens while turning, then maybe the wiring has an intermitant that when turned causes a open or short condition....
