Default O2 sensor ?

The sensor that is mounted after the headers lost the nuts and came out. I bought the new gasket and new nuts at toyota dealer and went to install the nuts and since the nuts are crimped they caused one stud to break. The nut went in nice until it barely reached the crimped part when it needed more arm to turn and then snap there goes the stud. I left the other nut on the other stud loose to hold the sensor in place. I guess no CEL for this sensor, I have run it for a few months with the sensor just hanging but got tired of the noise.

My question is, are those studs threaded on the exhaust pipe?

I might just have to drill and tap new threads and put in any other stud in but just want to now if the original studs were threaded onto the pipe or what.

Thanks

That`s a good question,I would have to say they probably are. I have not had the pleasure of messing around with that part of my vehicle yet.Or I could give you a better answer.

Thanks lexus114, if you like you can mess around with mine so you know what to do if yours goes bad

I have inspection for march and just wanted an idea of what to look forward to.

I think I may have to drill and tap threads if no threads are there from factory. If there are factory threads I'll try to remove the other half of the broken stud when it gets warmer out.

Thanks again for your response.
