I just bought a 2002 rx300 the other day. Today my driver side window did some really strange behavior similar to what you're describing. When I pushed the window down button it went both up and down a few times. I let it calm down and it returned to normal.

Did anyone else have luck with cleaning the device? A can of compressed air and 15 minutes sounds a lot cheaper than the other solutions.

 

I fully disassembled and cleaned the part this weekend to no avail. I believe it is the failing relay on the board. Not the best at soldering so it looks like this will be an ebay purchase.

Before I do, does anyone know if there are any other p/n's that are a direct swap out for this module? I know many toyota parts fit on the lexus.

 

Cleaning the control to the automatic window worked for me I wish I had something else I could add. Good luck to you

 

The large relay on the circuit board controls the window's direction. Mine was acting horribly until I replaced that relay. It's out there... Just google the numbers on it.

 

Picked up the part from a person who was parting out their rx300. Problem solved.

 

Dont mean to necro this thread, but the actual rocker switch broke off on my master panel. The whit pegs still allow the window to work. So I just need to buy a used switch and swap out the rocker portion?

 

Can anybody confirm whether I can replace the the driver side window control circuit board without effecting the remote key entry system. Where is the receiver for the remote key entry located? Thanks.

 

i swapped mine out with zero issue with the keyless entry...
