Default Gear Shift indicator bulb replacement

Can someone provide instructions for replacing the gear shift indicator bulb (under the gearshift selector) on my 2003 RX300. I have reviewed other threads that discuss this but would like the specifics (or pictures) on how to remove the trim around the gearshift to get to the bulb.

Thanks
Starara

Thanks but I was refering to the indicator lamp next to the gear selector (located at the center of the front console to the right of the driver), not the instrument cluster in front of the driver. Any info on replacing that bulb?

Ahh, sorry, should have read closer. What I posted is the more common problem. I did a search of other posts and can't find anything with pics.

You basically just need to remove the trim piece above the shift area to get at the bulb. It is held in by clips and you just start pulling from the top edge. You will need a Sylvania 2721 bulb, available at Autozone. Here is a discussion we had on it back when I did mine. Following the links in the posts will get you pics.

Are all gearbox modes supposed to be indicated (illuminated) on the dashboard?
When I use R(everse) it becomes illuminated, but not D, or any other mode.
Well, truthfully, haven't investigated if L N or 2 gives any illumination, but I'm guessing no.
One thing for sure though, P doesn't!
