Check with our site vendors Carson Lexus or Sewell Lexus, both them will have better prices, with shipping included, than your local $tealer.

Nick- I have never seen an orig.eq. Toyota timing belt in that kind of bag but it could be. I would not use anything but orig.eq. "Drivewire" sells it with the "Mitsuboshi" (yes it is o, not i) name on it for $37.74 and the Toyota name for $45.50. The are both original eq. I have purchased Lexus parts from them before and often came in plain box but were definitely orig.eq. So that price seems to be in the ball park. If you buy from Lexuspartsworld you might want to call them and confirm that they are definitely OEM or OES.

My uncle and I used Gates belts on other vehicles, but for my own RX300 I'd stick to OEM. You don't change it out that often to worry about price.

Saving a couple of $$ on something that if it fails will cost you thousands? Doesn't seem like great economics.

I'm in the need of belts as well, and will be purchasing the timing belt from Carson Toyota, but I wasn't sure if they were true OEM. The reason I say this is because I'm also looking for spark plugs, and the ones at Carson are $1.83, so I'm guessing those are not iridium NGK IFR6A11 or Denso SK20R11, perhaps one of you could clarify that? If not, could you tell me where to find these plugs (I believe the NGK's were discontinued).
And a second question, this one about belts :-) , before I go nuts looking in the engine bay, could someone tell me what are the drive belts that our cars have? I believe there are two, but from Carson I see quite a list of belts (A/C, Alternator, P/S) Could someone also clarify this? Thanks in advance guys!

2 belts other than timing belt

One goes over the main-pulley, alternator and A/C compressor.
Other goes over the main-pulley and steering pump (accessed from below)

Fairly cheap at the dealership.

Thank you Salim. So I guess the P/s belt the Carson Toyota refers to is the Steering pump belt.

Now, and I don't mean to hijack the thread, where can I find Denso SK20R11 plugs at a decent price and reputable site?

partsgeek.com has the best price that I could find. I paid 7.25 each and totaled $50.45 after shipping.

Shipping was very fast!
