Cool 22" Rims

I want to put 22" rims on my 99' RX300. But they keep telling me that I can't. I know there are some rims and tires that would fit like 20x10.5, but I want 22s!. I put 22s on a 96' Dodge Intrepid but I used low profile tires. If you have any suggestions on the size rim and tire please let me know. Thanks.

Isn't the 99 RX front wheel drive?
I would be very careful. If people are warning you then listen before you leap.

You might be able to get 22's under the lex but I would highly suggest not too. Dont get me wrong Im all for pimpin it out but what they dont tell you is one you loose that comfy ride the lex has two you have to be extremely cautions of every bump and pot hole in the road. Not only can it cause a flat but you can damage the tire or worse crack and bend the rimms. I had some Giovana Anzio 20's on mine with the low pro Pirelli tires and it felt like I could feel every pebble in the road. End result was I was doing 70 and hit a pot hole on the highway cracked a rim in 2 places. Worst feeling ever lucky the tire was a run flat and I was able to pull over but unless you have a spare 22 inch rimm and tire the regular spare can ruin your differentials had to have it towed for a flat tire.

Trust me I will not put a low profile tire on it. I was thinking 265 or 255. I put 20's up beside it and it just doesn't look right to me. It looks like those monte carlo's with those really really small spokes on them!
