Default RX 300 Trans. Filter

While looking for a replacement filter for my transmission I came across a FRAM filter kit (including gasket) for $28. It is the same as Toyota's at a much lower price.

I`m not a big Fram filter guy, I would suggest CarQuest,O`reilly`s etc for the filter.Or better yet,a Toyota dealer under Highlander.

Default Transmission Filter

I just listed the Fram filter number, but listed below the Fram part# are all the other filters sold by different companies including Toyota. I just compaired the fram and the Toyota and I could not tell the difference between the two. I also checked the Purolator and it appeared to be the same filter.

Definitely the mesh type. Flows better, and these trannies dont have the best pumps in them.So the mesh type is better,(I believe anyway)Mine shifted a little better when i went from the paper type,to the mesh filter.Supposedly,if you already have the mesh type filter in their, you can clean and reuse.

So as to re-add some perspective.

This is the mesh type filter.
