Chan,

For the SC300 gaining 18PSI, how much is Area 51 selling it for?

It's a custom kit, stupidly though. The owner is keeping the stock compression I believe...I guess he must want to blow his engine

Unhappy

I'd gladly pay $500-$800 for meaningful increase in horsepower.

HOWEVER, what will Lexus think, if I need some powertrain-related warranty repair? Will they DENY it based on the fact I have changed the ECU? With all the controversy surrounding the oil sludge issue, I fear a modified ECU will just give Lexus another excuse to avoid paying... I think it is within their rights, since the one of the cars most essential component, the ECU, is being modified...

Perhaps I will wait until my factory warranty runs out at 7yr/100k miles... (bought the Lexus-Toyota extended factory warranty thing)

What do you guys think?

Well, I think if we change the ECU, we can automatically assume Lexus won't cover warranty issues related since different ECU or modified. What I'm thinking is perhaps if we can keep the original ECU, and if in case we really need to do any warranty related issues, can we just swap back the original ECU?

ay guys, i think the ECU chip is a piggyback ECU chip... which we just mount it onto the back of the orginal ECU chip.. i talked ot my friend about it and he told me that you just most likly wire it to one another. So if you bring it in to dealer, just remove it or something... i think ahhah o well
