Default RX 300 Power Door Locks problem

I need help. Does any body know the cause and how to fix the problem of my Rx300 power door lock, . Both driver/passenger side power locks do not lock or unlock with the remote control nor with the power switch. When activate, it moves about half way. I only can manually lock/unlock them with the key. The rear doors work fine.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Door lock actuator relay/motor seems likely culprit. It has been discussed in the past. Try the search function. Although a different model, I have seen more in depth discussion in the GS forum.

I have replaced the drivers door lock (about 4 1/2 years ago) and it just failed again like yours. Cost $262 for the part. I am going to go this route this time:

I just ordered the solenoids on Ebay and am awaiting their arrival...

Nghiaho- Good advice here- there is much more if you do a search but it's not really necessary. I did all 4 on my DIL's RX at no cost rather than the $1300. that they wanted just for the 4 motor assy's. I have a post in that thread under code58 and have posted elsewhere on it also. It's really not hard,(you do not have to drill the the arm on the orig motor assy. as the 1 poster said), and you can readily buy the generic lock assy's. all over the net for as little as $5. ea. There's nothing wrong with the quality just because they're priced cheap. Remember, you leave the orig. lock in place and just piggy-back onto it to retain all else that the lock is interfaced with.
