Automatic transmission indicator light burned out
The automatic transmission indicator light for D or Drive has is not working or is burned out. When shifting to other positions...park, reverse, etc., the indicator lights work but not for drive. Does anyone have instructions on how to replace the indicator lights?
This is a common issue and a search should find good instructions on replacement. The choices are buying a new bulb from a dealer (not a common bulb) or replacing the burned out bulb with one of the others (e.g., from one of the lower gears) that you won't miss.
Just do a quick search and you'll find. I ended up moving the 1st gear light to the drive light. You can buy the socket w/bulb from ebay or the dealer. It's about 5-7 dollars. I just didn't want to wait for shipping time.
