I was always confused as to how the Lexus Dealer Installed hands free cellular phone accessory works. I have a motorola star-tack flip-phone and wondered if I can have the hands-free kit installed into my RX by the dealer. I read, and heard, that it automatically mutes the radio when the phone rings.

Can someone please shed some light onto how this feature works exactly, and how it looks. Any and every explanation is helpful.

Thanks!!

Cool Buggy Phone

I went to my local Lexus dealer one day and inquired about the Lexus-installed hands free cell phone. My salesman told me that he recommends that I rather not get it and install it because there have been numerous problems with it. He heard that soon Lexus would be coming out with a team-up cell phone from Nokia. They do sell aftermarket hands free car phone celly-telly things, so maybe you should look into that field. But if in case you do get the Lexus cell phone, good luck!

alright, I'll just wait on the hands-free phone for now. I so wanted to have my stereo automatically muted when my phone rings...so helpful. I'll wait until Lexus come out with the new one - maybe it'll work well with my RX and not cost too much.

Thanks again.
