If you just want a touch-up stick, your Lexus dealer is probably the best place. The cost is reasonable enough to probably cancel out any postage costs compared to mail-order. If you're planning to order some other Lexus items, have the discount mail-order Lexus dealer include the touch-up stick (i.e., tube).

For a larger quantity, any auto paint store should be able to custom-mix you up a quart from the paint codes (on the door-jam?).

What color is your RX? I have the paint codes for my pearl/white and gray RX300. I get a great color-match on the gray, but I haven't been able to get a good match (with a brush) on the 3-stage pearl/white

its black on top. where did you get your gray from?
the guy from autozone came out to my car and we tried to find the color code sticker on every door jam and around the hood, but no luck.

there is no color code for the bottom half. you have to tell them the color code for top half cause the bottom half comes colored with the top half.

so if i have silver for top then the bottom has to be gray. i just bought touch up paint for the bottom half last week. i asked them dont you need to get the code. they said no its in the computer its preset with the color on top.

You might check with Dr. ColorChip (http://drcolorchip.com/) for a matching color. They can provide a dead-on match from your color code listed on your door frame. Drop them an e-mail for more specific information on your trim color, but I'm sure they can match it.

I have used (am using) their product on my Savannah RX330 and the results are pretty amazing. Yes, the chips are still there, but the color match is so good that they are undetectable from a few feet away. It takes more than one application, and each coat produces better results than the last. You have to let each coat dry thoroughly for best results, and when the weather warms up this spring I intend to apply a couple more coats. The process works best on dark colors, so my light tan metallic is probably the worst-case application - still I'm happy with the results.

Have you considered just repainting the bottom half the same color as the top? It would look way cleaner than that ugly two-tone.

That's a great site. They describe how to find the trim paint code on a Lexus, and even address the 3-stage pearl-white Lexus color matching problem!

I want to before I leave, paint my bumpers one more time and I wanted to show everyone how my uncle does the painting. I planned to remove those dinky side marker lights on the front and the rear and then smoothen out the bumpers so they were more like that of the Harrier or Euro RX300s.

You do need a grayish-greenish primer first before painting.
