I am running a 2006 disk on a gen 4. Which I like much better. The pictures I have posted were from a generation 3. I will shoot some updated pictures if you like. I am waiting for the back up camera from Lexusaudio, he is hopefully working on it for me, once I have it, will gladly post some pictures as well.

So help me understand the process here, you can get the head unit from any other RX with navigation and swap out the nav computer with any other generation?

Well as promised here are some pictures of my GPS running Gen. 4 on a 6.1 (2006) DVD updated map.
-Here is my new welcome screen.

 

-Here is my home screen, the quality is much better and you have the option to hide those buttons on the bottom if you like to.

 

-The new destination menu which is easier to navigate and use.

 

-Address search input is all there at your finger tips.

 

-Emergency feature is great if you need it, once in the mode you will be guided to the nearest emergency center.

 

-The menu look.

 

-This feature is nice if more than one user share the vehicle. If you like your current settings save it as a user and it will be easier to get your settings back if someone else messed with it.

 

-The new maintenance look.

 

-Now this is my favorite feature on the Gen 4 GPS. The ability to see building shapes. And if you hit the bottom left button on the screen you will get whats in the next picture.

 

-A closer look at the building and street direction of travel. Also if you put your cursor on a building and hit the info button on the bottom left of screen, you will be able to see a list of all the stores that are actually inside of that building.
