sluggish accelaration
I have noticed that the acc has been quite sluggish. Took it to a local mechanics and he pointed out the engine sounding quite rough with a clicking sound. Showed me a simiolar rx300 and the eng noise was nite and day. Said it might bs a shifter in the valve. Any advice as well as recco on a good mechanic

Hard to tell without being there in person. When mine runs sluggish, I first pull the negative battery to reset the ECU, and then take it our for a spin. In addition, I take it you don't have a check engine light on the dash?

my acceleration is weird too. a few months ago I took my car to CarMax for a quote and the guy told me he saw oil sludge. now, I didnt take it to heart, because obviously he's trying to give me a crap price for the car...But after noticing how my car decel's nowadays, I think I may be encountering this problem. I need an oil change, I'm going to wait about 3 days until i hit 70k to take it to get an oil change.. 
but yea, if I find out I'm getting sludge, bye bye Alexis. I mean, I only have a 00 with 70k so..
