fog lights
hello all,
first i wish to say thanks to all that contributed to my last thread (about aux in for the radios).
now i have a question regarding operation of the oem fog lights. has anyone "rewired" the factory setup to light the fogs when the headlamp stalk is turned to the first spot? i run on this setting often and would like to have the fogs operate here not just on the 'full lights' setting. my only experience is (again) with a ford truck. i had found a diagram that reshaped the switch (carved a portion of the plastic away) and jumped across a couple of contacts and whamo, you could light up the fogs whenever -and- keep them lit even on high beams (now don't get your dander up... i know a lot of states don't allow six forward facing lights on at once) but man was it cool.

I wanted to do that too, but I don't wanna' mess with the stock wiring. So what I did is I switch the plug of the low beam & the fog light. The fog light becomes my main light & I can turn on & off the low beam. You could not tell if it's an RX at night with only the foglight on. I also change the color of my parking bulb to orange & disabled the side markers.
