Just wonderin' if the 6 disc player in the RX will play a CD of MP3s? Thanks!

 

As far as I know the 6-disc changer (pioneer) in the RX is the same one used in other current model Lexus vehicles. Either way, it has played all of my burned CD's perfectly. I've used a variety of brands including Memorex, TDK, & PNY. TDK being my favorite. I usually use file quality of 192 kbps or more, when downloading, and they sound great.

the factory radio will not decode mp3's............get an aftermarket deck. i put a jvc sh-99 in my rx so i could listen to mp3's.

 

 

My moms RX plays all of my CD-R's just fine. I like using the Imation one's myself but like LexRX said, many others will work.

 

I burned a CD last night and tried it out - works great!

Despite what some say regarding the Nakamichi system, the sounds were sweet. Definitely can tell the difference between my Nak and my other RX's standard premium system, IMHO.

P.S. I should've made clearer what I was wanting. I meant to say I was burning and playing an audio CD from MP3s and not actually playing the MP3s off the OEM stereo system but thanks again for the responses.

not yet.....will have some pics soon. i'm installing a 10.4" tft lcd with touchscreen and full computer. lots more to come. i should have pics on the whole install in about 3 weeks when all is complete.
