alright, heres the deal , an envelope containg a large amount of cash, sliped behind the bottom drawer of the center unit. does anyone know if the drawer can pulled all te way out so i can get behind it? i have tried pulling hard, and lifting at the same time. no luck yet.

I believe there are tabs on the side on either the top pull out or the bottom one. I am pretty sure i have taken that out before to clean that area.

 

somebody please post a DIY with pics. I'm sure thats where a bunch of my missing "items" went

 

the top of the console just pulls off, no screws. Then you will find six screws/bolts total that hold the entire center console in. Two are under the little plastic caps on the side of the tray infront of the pull out bottom drawer. The other screws are available after pulling the top off of console where the cup holders are (top ones) Sorry no pictures, but it took a whole ten minutes to remove it. look under search of adding a ipod input, someone put pictures in that forum.

 

do a search for "aux in for RX300" in that thread there is a picture of how to remove the center console. good luck

Then I grinned and said, "Well, I found the rubberband."

 

Funny. A week after I bought my RX, I removed all seats and center storage thing (for leather upgrade). And found [unused] tampons, tea bugs and ~$250 in post stamps.

 

As I am the second owner of my RX, a few years ago, mine got jammed and I used a wrench to reach behind and found a plastic prayer card frrom a funeral. Really sad thing is that it was for a young girl of only about 14 years old.
