The Pioneer radio (also has the nav system) in my rx 300 just stopped working last week. It does not power up, and the antenna does not go up either. I push the button and nothing happens (it says audio off). I think I checked the fuses (one under the hood, one under the drivers side panel), and they appear to be fine. Does anyone have any suggestions, are there other fuses that I don't know about?
Also, if I take the radio out where can I take it to be checked to see if it is dead?
It could be the radio itself, only other things are the fuses, the wires harnesses, a bad ground, or the amp itself, there's really nothing beyond that in the RX300. In Florida, I had a friend who ran a car audio place and whenever I had a problem he would just take the unit out and even open it up checking certain points with electrical diagnostic equipment, wasn't cheap even with his discount, about $100 USD to diagnose, but he always found the culprit.
