passeneger door switch

Default passeneger door switch

99 rx300 and when i open the passenger the car does not recognize it. dome light does not go on, dash light does not register that door is open. any suggestions?

the switch is part of the door latch mechanism. not cheap.

In cases like this, after isolating the problem, I'd try to get the part from a Lexus junk yard (i.e., automotive recycler).

If it's in the latch then I'll try to spay some WD40 to free it.

Has anyone tried to take this latch/swith assembly apart? I'm also experiencing the same problem on my front left door.
