Default front side mark light bulb replacement

Just got the 2000 vehicle. Need to replace the front side mark light at the passenger side, before NY State inspection. Looked under, from wheel well and then from the engine compartment - cannot get to the back side of the front side mark unit.

Does this light bulb replacement require taking down some panels or remove other things?

Please advise.

Take off passenger front wheel well cover, loosen couple of screws with 10mm socket or stub Phillip screw driver. Reach in and twist the bulb off.

Thanks for the insights. I got to the back of the lens. The wire is very short and hardly to get my both hands behind the wheel well panel which is slightly open after loosing 6 screws.

It appears that the two contacts of the socket that hosts the bulb are corroed for no obviouse reasons. I separated the housing socket from the lens assembly and from the wiring plug. The 2 contacts are all in black.

I went to the local Advanced Auto Parts store. They do have the side mark lens there but it doesn't come with the socket. Any idea were to shop for the replacement socket, other than going to a Lexus dealer (the closest is about 80 minutes drive)?

At the local Advanced Auto Part store, they told me that the front side mark light bulb is a Sylvania 168, instead of the 194 that listed by one in this forum. Physically, the 168 and 194 look about the same size. Can this 168 be used as a replacement of 194?

Thanks,

168 is the same as 194, except minor power rating.
I recommendate you to get a pair of clear sidemarkers off ebay. They come with sockets and much better looking. You just need to buy yellow bulbs, I went with 5 LED yellow bulb.
