another brake question!!!
well i just got my front rotors resurfaced and got new ones for the rear and also replaced all 4 sets of pads! now when i am driving and i tap the brakes it sounds like high pitched sounds like metal on metal or like a rock in the rotor?! what can this be? i am about to take off the fornt tires to take and look but anyone had this problem before after?
When you install new pads, you need to apply brakes without agression (obviously safety should always be paramount). This allows the two surfaces to mate with each other.
Squeeling is the high frequency pitch due to vibration. Anti chatter grease applied sparingly between all the metal pieces can reduce the noise. OEM repalcement pads no longer come with the grease and that needs to be purchased saparately.
