I have a 99 rx300 currently without hid. I was wondering if newer style headlight housings fit? or do I have to keep my current ones and just get and hid kit for those? thanks for any info.

 

Newer ones (if you mean 00-03) will fit fine

 

save money....put in HIRs 9011 .....I use them in all the positions...fog, high, low increases the light output greatly...about $26 a light though. Simply cut the tabs to fit....it works

 

There is a tint change in the plastic.

Factory HIDs have auto-levelling and have a different cut off. If you do a bulb to HID swap you will not have these.

Switching the bulbs (incandecent to incandecent) you can opt for brighter out put as well as color shift. Just watch out, if the new bulbs produce more heat.

Although I prefer HID over incandecent, but the incandecent lighting are decent. The lense ocasionaly needs buffing up.
