trd doesnt really make one for the rx. but you can try and make the camry 3.0L trd supercharger fit.

I Know the Camry V6 is pretty much the sam engine as the RX 300 but does anyone here have experience in installing the V6 Camry TRD supercharger in a RX 300 ??? What are your experience like and what kind of modicationcations are needed??

Thanks

With the TRD the issue is the single entrance on the throttle body on the Camry and Solara vs. the double entrance on the throttle body of our RX300s.

The only true one ever made was the TTE, http://www.tte.de Kompressor for the RX300, but the last time I checked on the pricing it was like $13,000 USD for the entire kit. One of our European members from the Azores and I knew a guy in Poland with one, both told me it went for about $7,000 USD equivalent max in Europe.

http://www.tte.de/downloads/brochure...compressor.pdf

Toyota or Lexus are supposed to be the authorized agents for TTE, but I do not know of independents selling the TTE version.

zombie probably has the best idea for the $$$, since I am sure it would take much less to convert an existing TRD supercharger.

The transmission will have no problems with handling either one.

The only other supercharger I know of is the one from Blitz of Japan, but it is for the 1MZFE and not sure about how it would fit the RX300, http://www.blitz.co.jp/products/comp...ressor-pro.htm

Thanks for the info. That was very informative!! Too bad I can't read Japanese on the Blitz web site. The supercharger system from TTE is expensive. Too bad TRD does not make one for RX 300

I'm going to have to be honest and say that if you really want to put a supercharger into an RX300...you should think about getting a sports car!

Well that may be true in some sense but not exactly. There are people who buy supercharged Range Rover Sports and I'm sure they didn't mistake it for a sports car. It's just a mix between performance and practicality that we seek.

Who says forced induction is not for SUV? Two of the four Porsche Ceyanne models are turbo charged V8s. Acura RDX is variable flow turbo charged, the 4 cyclinder engine outputs 240hp and 260 lbs-ft for a mere 2.3 liter displacement, flat out beat many V6, include those that believed to be "sport sedans".

Actually if you are thinkng supercharger, for the prices we were talking about, better to do a turbo system.

I mentioned in another post that dilemma with the transmission capacity.

Any one of you with a stock RX300 shoud have no problem, if the turbo is your first upgrade. My problem is that I threw so many mods on there already, that adding the turbo would be overkill really quick, thus I need a tranny upgrade.

Wow, someone here is either angery or very satisfy with their RX 300 - the way it is. If you have driven the RX 350 then you can appreciate what a little extra HP and torque can do to chage the feel of the SUV......Just to let you know so you are not upset....I do have a real sports car - a M3 and I an not going to supercharge my RX 300 to compensate for the lack of "sports"

Getting one at the swap shop is one thing, but be careful with used turbos as I have seen and heard plenty of horror stories, a few at my track here in Mexico.

Read my earlier posts, do a search with lexmex with username and the search term turbo and you should come across what i have been discussing for the past few months.

If you still have questions after that, PM or post in the forum.
