Wink Many questions for my RX

Hello all,

I'm 18 and from Boca Raton, FL. I drive a '00 RX300. I have a few questions.

1. Does anyone know of any upgrade headlights that I can put onto the truck...Xenons, Angel Eyes, anything!!!

2. I'm in with all this iPod crap...and have figured out that the iTrip sucks *****, and the Monster iCarPlay is right behind it...so I am installing the new Harman/Kardon Drive+Play inplace of my 6-disc changer in the glove.........I was just wondering if anyone has one/has heard reviews with this truck and that system.

3. I need cool ideas as far as upgrades that I can do to my truck to make it a little more 18 year old than old granny.

Take a look at my homepage below in reference to question 3.

I am also from Florida though I am now in Mexico and it is amazing what you can get away with in Florida without state emissions or inspections.

Don't get the Harmon/Kardon iPod interphase. You require an Aux in on the head unit, and due to the Nakamichi head unit, you don't have one. Instead, I'd reccomend a JL Audio Clean Sweep. That way you get digital audio quality, and get to controll it right from the iPod itself. The Clean Sweep is one of the best upgrades you can do to your car audio system, with a stock head unit.

i was told that the Harman/Kardon is compatible with my car's 6-disc that's in the glove. So what they installer was going to do was unplug the 6-disc and plug the Harman/Kardon in...I guess i'll double check, and i'm also going to check out that JL

Okay, it IS compatible that way...But don't you still want your CD changer? You can keep your CD changer, AND add the iPod with a JL Clean Sweep. And with that, you get DIGITAL audio quality...

well, the Harman/Kardon is digital too...since i won't have to install that ****ty FM Module becuase I have the CD Changer hook up...and if it works, i wouldnt mind losing the cd changer. I mean...my iPod's got about 23GB of songs...vs the maybe 50 songs I'd be able to squeeze onto 6 CD's. haha....

ANOTHER THING TO ANYONE... I WANT MY TRUCK TO MAKE SOME NOISE...I WANT TO BE ABLE TO MAKE MY TRUCK SOUND A LITTLE BETTER BY MYSELF...A COMPLETE NOVICE JOB TO THE EXHAUST WOULD BE GOOD...I WANT AN IDEA OF AN EASY WAY THAT I CAN MAKE MY TRUCK SOUND BETTER, W/O SPENDING TOO MUCH TIME OR NEEDING MUCH SKILL.

thanks,
ajk

WitmaRX is right. The right kind of exhaust tip can adjust the sound slightly to your liking. For the roar and power gain, you need the direct flow muffler.

Question # 3: Big wheels with lip / summer tires, spoiler from >01' RX, taillight from >01' RX, running board, front grid from silver sport / coach edition RX, antenna from 06' RX or MDX, gound xenon light. I only have spoiler and taillight from 01' RX.

Honestly, I think angle eyes will look good on bimmer but not lexus. If I saw a RX with angle eyes, I would think he/she is X5 wanted to be.
