My wife's been out of town and my '99 RX has been sitting for the most part for the last few months. After replacing the dead battery, I fired it up and realized the A/C wasn't working. In checking that out, I noticed the compressor clutch never engages and the A/C light starts to flash. In all of the fun I've had to day trying to troubleshoot that, I found a wire that goes to nowhere, and I'm trying to figure out where it goes.
My RX has been wrecked in the front sometime in the past and, of course, it wasn't fixed just right. I knew this when I got it, and the price was right, so it's not a big deal. I suspect something was not hooked up when it was hooked back together, but for the life of me I can't figure out what it was. If someone has a second, can you take a look to see what you have plugged into this wire?
It's pretty easy to find. With the hood open, look at the left radiator, going down the left most part of the shroud. There is a sheathed wire that breaks off the from main harness and attaches to the shroud about 6-8 inches down. It has a grey two-wire connector that goes to? If someone has a second and can take a look, I'd appreciate it.
