problem with dashboard warning lights

problem with dashboard warning lights
The dashboard warning light for the rear lights is coming on when I turn on the headlights. The rear bulbs were replaced. What could be the problem? Fuse? Electrical? Or??

Welcome to CL.
There has been quite a few posts on this issue. All possible reasons have been discussed and all this + more is readily available via the search field.
For starter .. check the new bulbs are of the right wattage. See if you might have missed one or more bulbs. See if the wire on the wedge bulb was square in the middle. Also check for corroded sockets.
