Hi guys, I bought the Weapon R Intake System and there seems to be a problem after I replace the Dragon Filter with an INJEN Filter, the engine light suddenly pops out. Does anyone that are using this Weapon R Intake know whether it's okay to replace the fitler with another brand name or does it have to be Weapon R?
Hey Swing, switch back the filter and see if it persists. I'm surprised those "Weapon R" guys didn't give you some tech advise. I was going to get the intake from them but I need someone to let me know how it is brfor I do anything. I hate being the guinea pig... Let me know how the Intake works out...
How is the sound and the boost of power it gives. I can't have a lexus sounding like a loud annoying Civic.. And another thing what is wrong with the filter that they give you???
you can bearly hear the noise, but while in the driver seat, u can notice it working. Its kinda of a soft muffled sound to me.. dunno, its coo tho.. Not sure whats wrong with the air filter it came with but i'm using the one it came with and it seems fine... tho wondering if i can use K&N air filter instead...
Don't even bother trying the K&N filter, I try using the INJEN filter and the engine light pops out so I have to switch back to the original Dragon Filter.
ya, i get better launches then usual, but i'm still scared to drive my car hard so i didn't really get to push it yet, but i do sense some more power then usual... once how many miles is good break in so i can start driving my car hard hehe
I meant that I will just replace my stock filter element with the K&N filter element. The things I do not like about your setup that the filter gets right next to the battery, and there is no ram/air effect going to the grill.
