Cool Rotora BBK for RX300

An UPS truck came, and has this early Christmas gift for my RX300
13" cross drilled/slotted directional vented two piece rotors. stainless steel brake lines w/ protective clear covering

4 piston calipers, ceramic pads

Close up on the directional vanes

Check out Lexmex's pulley thread, that is my next mod after installing BBK myself.

Thanks, Rotora has it listed $1995, but if you know their distributor you can get a better price. PM me if you need the inform where I bought it from. Rotora also has a 6 piston 14 inch BBK, obviously it will cost more. I will post more picture after I installed it on my RX300.

Default Pictures for forged rims and H&R spacer

Rotor is 330x30, two piece, with directional vanes; stock is 298mm, one piece, straight vanes
4 piston loaded caliper 9.7 lbs, unloaded 5.3 lbs,2 pistons on each side: stock is one piston, obviously can only clamp from one side.
You need 17" rims to clear 4 pot BBK, 18" rims to clear 6 pot BBK.
Pictures of what I gather so far for this BBK project.

ATE SuperBlue brake fluid and H&R 25mm spacer, 25mm is big but no need to install extended stubs

SSR Competition forged 18x7.5,

Did I mentioned forged rims? 15.4lbs per rim, that is 10lbs less than stock 16"

Now my RX can smoke MDX in performance braking, I need more HP from 1mzfe, anyone wants to join us in Lexmex's pulley thread?

Love the wheels and the BBK. What are the specs on those SSRs.

Please post pictures and driving (braking!) impressions for the BBK when done .

cantsleepnk, Here is SSR Competition (Type C in JDM)'s spec. +42 is why I got H&R spacers. I plan to mount them on Pirelli Scorpion Zero 235/60/18 (Cayenne's OEM tire). I need sticker tires (higher braking limit) so brake balance is not too front biased.
Are you into pulley -> https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=190667

On exhaust, I have not found a good cat-back system. 5 zigen used to make one but not anymore.

If you get an Arvin muffler...they make ones that have two slots. You can make a Y-pipe behind your resonator (don't ditch it or get another one as it is loud...I know from experience) with two twin 2.25 inch pipes going into that muffler. Gives it a burly sound but not enough to attract unwanted attention unless you go through neighborhoods at WOT.

Speaking of mufflers, what options do I have besides those I found on L-Tuned? I'm planning on purchasing the RMM based on it's look and I've heard it sounds great.

Before I had my current Arvin muffler, I had an APC Intimidator Muffler 156020 and a 2.5 inch pipe going back from the stock resonator that eliminated the S angle. (2 inch is the normal pipe) See www.4apc.net and look under Performance then mufflers to get an idea about different types out there.

Do you have a sound clip?
Back to my BBK project, I just bought an used acorn 12x1.5 Gorilla wheel lock off ebay.
I also want to install BBK ASAP but I need tires w/o burning my wallet. Anyone has coupon code from www.onlinetires.com?

Got a set of new Gorilla wheel lock off ebay. Now I just need tires to complete my BBK project.

TRD BBK shown at an auto show I attended this weekend. Very similiar design, two piece, stainless steel brake line. Only difference for TRD BBK's rotor is slotted and SS brake line does not look clear plastic "shrink wrapped".

TRD Coilover, you can see the back side of TRD BBK also.
