I've got the same problem with left turns. recently had the Rt. Rear bearing replaced, so it's probably the front one, or I need a brake job.

It sounds 'metally', like the wheel is rubbing on the inside of the wheel well.

If it is rubber creaking, it might be these lower rubber supports that go at the bottom of the spring.

They can get worn over time and eaten up.

I now use hose in place of the rubber.

For each spring, you need 55 cm length and 2 cm width plastic hosing as shown.

See this full link on shocks, https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...yb-gr-2-a.html

For those who are also curious, Ulan Bator, or Ulaanbaatar (Mongolian: Улаанбаатар), is the capital and largest city of Mongolia.

If you mean using both the black rubber piece shown above and also the hose together, that's also a possibility. I just removed the black piece entirely and run only hose.

All of the shock absorbers, including the ones in the rear, have that rubber piece underneath the shock that I have shown below and that is one possibility.

If that's not the case, I'd inspect the pieces at the top of the shock (after you have removed it to see if the pieces below are in good condition. These are pieces located on top of the shock, the strut mount (top photo) and bumper (in the bottom photo, the orange colored rubber piece on the bottom of the shock on the silvery pole area). The strut mount is expensive (over 100 USD for just one, while the bumper is 10 USD), http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...layCatalogid=0

You can try lubricating them. I don't know if you have something there like WD40 lubricant, but if you can find a lubricant spray, you can spray those pieces and that can help diminish some of the noise.

Hello to all, this is my first posting. I have a '99 RX 'Sport' (did a previous Owner makeup a badge and stick it on?), with 110K. I am the third Owner, I think. When I accelerate from a stop, I sometimes get a slight shudder that I can feel through the seat. Does this lead one to think the CV Joint is going bad? Otherwise I love this car; it is my first foray into the luxury club.

Jack the car up and try and "rock" the wheel forward and aft. If the CV joints are bad, you should be able to feel the play in them. Also turn the wheels part or full R & L and do the same thing. If they CV joints are bad you should be able to feel it. Also, what does the trans. fluid look like? There is a possibility it is in the trans., maybe the torque converter. Don't recall there being a "Sport"
in '99, but if there was, I'm sure someone will chime in about it. Good Luck and Welcome to CL!
