Lexus RX300 Steering Wheel Emblem
I have seen Carbon Fiber steering wheel emblems made for the Lexus IS300 so I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a steering wheel emblem that is similiar for the RX300? Would the IS300 emblem fit an RX300 Steering Wheel? I have seen the chrome steering wheel emblem on the 01-03 RX300 and I would like to try and duplicate the same thing for my 99 RX300. I'm not sure who manufactures these emblems but if anyone has any info about this please let me know. thanks

We appreciate that you tried to use an existing thread, although this time a new thread would have been appropriate.
Back to your question:
RX, uses steering pump to assist steering. The reservoir is on top of the passenger side front wheel. Check the level of the fluid there. When fresh it should be cherry red (assuming you have stayed with Lexus brand fluid). You can check the belt too. For better access to the belt you have to take the passenger side front wheel off. If the fluid and the belt (it is not loose) then your steering pump may need replacement.
Some folks (including myself) have switched to synthetic but it created leak for me.
Check out our DIY sticky to find how you can maintain the fluid.

Just be careful with emblems on the steering ... the air bag is in there. When it deploys, the object on top can become a projectile. I would suggest replace the center piece with OEM only. I am not sure if IS center can be placed in your RX.
On a personal note, I never liked the oversized 'L' , but that is just my opinion. YMMV.
