Does the 2001 RX300 have a remote rear hatch release? I have seen this advertised on used RX300's, but did not know they came with a remote rear hatch open. Can someone confirm this? If so.......is it programmed on the key or just a release on the dash or somewhere?

My 2001 only unlocks. It doesn't open by its self.

 

All RXs can be unlocked (including the hatch) via the key remote. The 330 offers an option that also lifts the rear hatch via remote as well as by a button on the lower left of the dash. If you use your RX's cargo area regularly, it is a very handy feature.

Other than the "coolness" factor, I find it to be too much of a hassle... it opens/closes too slowly and you have to wait for it to fully close before you can lock the car.
