Default Homelink hint

If you have a problem programming you garage door opener, a local service tech gave me the following advice:

If you have one of the newer "rolling code" security programs on your garage door opener you may have to drive into the garage so that your RX's transmitter is almost directly under the reciever to program it. I know it makes no sense, but the guy does this for a living, and he was absolutely right. Get a couple of volunteers to help - one to poke the button on the reciever and the other to keep the door from closing on your new car.

That second guy has to be a real friend - willing to throw his body between your door and that expensive paint!

No human sacrifice necessary. For rolling code garage door opener, just stick the head out of the moonroof. Hold one of the HomeLink buttons and press the "learn" button on the garage door opener. That's it.
