Default How to Program Garage Door Opener??

Hello

I just signed up on the site because of my gf. I have a 1998 Infiniti I30 which I love. She bought an IS300 which I have to say it's more fun to drive but still love my car. Anyway I was wondering if anyone knows how to program the garage door opener? where I can find instruction anywhere?? I looked on google and everywhere but I didn't find anything. And no she doesn't have the car manual. Is there a place I can find that info? Or it has to be done by the dealer?

Thanks
Eddie

Its kinna a pain because of the rolling code technology. I work for a garage door company and had one of our techs do it lol. Best bet is to call homelink they make that built in door opener and should be able to walk you throught how to do it 800-355-3515 is their number....

Welcome and good to see another IS owner.

Its really easy to program. But the rolling codes suck donkey *****. The only way to find out if your garage door opener is a rolling code style. You would have to contact them and ask.

No you do not need to go to a dealer. You can do this by simply having the garage door opener in the car, while programming the HomeLink.

You will want to push the garage door opener button. Right then, you will need to push the HomeLink button that you prefer. Hold it for 3-5 secs. Release and see if the HomeLink is operational. If not, good chances that you have a rolling code opener.

GOod luck and post back if it works...

Lets see some pics of the wife's stock IS

i had the same issue when i first got my car.

i have a rolling code system.
so i made sure all the homelink buttons were blank(you can goto homelink.com for specific instructions)

but then i pushed the button on my garage door opener. then raced down to push the button i wanted programmed. poof! it worked. good luck.
