hi,

i am looking to purchase a 00 rx300 and was wondering what the issue is on the transmission.
is it reliable? or is it going to follow the path of honda/acura cars with a headache of a tranny!

The tranny should be fine. There is no issues as far as I know. To be fair to the Acura/Honda trans, they are among the best of the cars I have owned. The problem was in the newer trans mated to the J series motors, but it should be resolved in the latest cars. All the other Honda/Acura trans that I have had in my Acuras have had zero problems.
