We own a 2002 AWD model V6 with tow package installed by the dealer. Can I tow a 1850lb (dry weight) fibreglass boat with this.

I am interested in hearing from anybody who tow anything with this vehicle..

The 2002 RX300 with towing package, factory installed, is rated at a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. You need to balance the load to keep within the rated tongue load rating.

However, if dealer installed, do you mean the towing package or just the hitch with wiring harness? The factory towing package included heavier duty radiator cooling and transmission cooling, as I recall. I think clarifying this will help get you the best answer.

 

As fas as I can remember, the tow package was already there when I purchased the vehicle. How can I check to see if I do have the "heavier duty radiator cooling and transmission cooling". Also what do you mean by "balance the load"
