Default Power Steering and Coolant Part #

Hi All,

I have a 2001 RX 300 Silver Sport with 240,000 miles. My power steering is leaking due to a rusted line. I'm searching the web and trying to figure out which is the correct part to buy. The 2nd photo below is the part I'm trying to replace. From the diagram I think it's either the "return hose(16)" or the "upper return tube (17)". I really think its part #16 and think I can purchase this from Ebay for the repair. Ebay Link to "Power Steering Return Hose AUTOTECNICA LX1015431 fits 99-03 Lexus RX300"

3rd photo is of lines that are really rusted, I'm almost positive this is where my coolant is leaking from. Can anyone advise which part that is called? Is that easy to replace? trying to determine if it is worth replacing.

Below is the power steering line that is rusted and is leaking. I keep wiping down it down but see the fluid form from the rust spots. The pump works fine.

Coolant is leaking from this area. I believe its this rusted pipe. Easy to replace?

Thanks in advance. This place has always been very helpful to me.

The clamp in the picture indicates that someone has worked on this before.

The question is do you want to use OEM parts or jury rig or do your plumbing. For your own plumbing, If you have a hydraulic shop near you, they can manufacture things for you but may not have the right angles preformed.

You may find some pieces from salvage yard, but then they may be on their last leg [25 yrs].

So if you bite the bullet and go to the dealer, they will pull the parts catalog and the diagram you posted will lead them to the part number.
If you want you can get to parts catalog yourself by visiting on line Lexus retailers like Butler Lexus of Scottsdale AZ or Lexus of North Atlanta and drill down to your model number vin number etc. You will get to the diagram and the actual Lexus part number.

Let us know what you decide or need more help.

It's low pressure for sure and 16 looks possible but hard to be sure.
As far as the other two lines, are they part of the transmission cooler? Like this: https://parts.lexusstevenscreek.com/...bly-3290748010 ?
