Front and rear suspension
Hello all. I took my 01 RX300 into the dealership for an alignment and asked them to check out my suspension because it was clunking.
They said it was because the rubber bushings on my front and read control arms were worn out. They also provided a video so that I could see. The bushings were badly worn out in the video.
If I were to replace them, are there any other pieces of the front/back suspension that should be done at the same time?
Thanks in advance.

IMHO the shop (dealership) should have done a complete checkup and should have told you about condition of all other suspension parts and not just the source of the noise. It will be a shame if you have to repeatedly do alignments once one item is fixed [not all suspension works needs alignment but most do].
My concern for you will be the expense once you have the dealership involved. Some items do not have an aftermarket and many aftermarket are of poorer quality [you essentially down grade if you replace]. The cost of repairs may exceed the street value of the RX. But that is an issue you have to decide.

PS: A good shop should refuse alignment till suspension work that may impact the alignment is carried out.

Thanks guys. You're right that they should have recommended to hold off on the alignment until any potential suspension work was done but that was my choice to get it done. It was pulling pretty bad so I decided to get it done while I figure out what I can afford. I did pay money for them to diagnose my RX. They only recommended front and rear control arms actually.
