Default Runs then doesn’t run.

Starts up and runs one day. Then really hard to start up and stumbles another day. Seems like a fuel issue. Not sure but driving me absolutely crazy!

How many miles om odo?
Any check engine light?

One of the well known issue is failing to hold idle. If that is the issue then holding the throttle down a bit prevents dying out. <= This issue does not cause CEL,

No lights on the dash. I cleaned the IACV thinking it was that. It started right up after that with proper idle. Then the next morning it is not even started at all just stumbling.

How does it behave with the gas pedal 1/4way down [do back off it it over-revs]

Cleaning may require a second pass and recheck if the slug can rotate freely. Crud washed down and can get lodged at times requiring a second cleaning.

Also the engine has to re-learn proper positioning of the IACV [it may fall below 500 and stall and then works its way to 750. You may like to reset by removing battery power for about 20mins.

Salim
PS: I could be on the wrong too and it might not be an idle issue.

This is very helpful info. I’ll get to trying what was discussed and let you know what comes of it.

Thank you!

Lets not discuss ES here in RX forum.

You are confident that you are getting fuel. [Confirm with little burst of starting fluid].
You are assuming that you have spark. Don't assume take the most convenient plug out and lay it on the block and confirm there is spark. Imobilizer may be killing your spark. Once you take the plug out, you can confirm fuel if the plug is wet.
Air .. we talked about keeping the throttle 1/4 down so idle circuit is bypassed.
Timing.
Missing ground or pinched wire during last service. Go over your work.

Update:

The RX is up and running perfectly. It was the crankshaft sensor. Thank you for the support!

Awesome!.

I would have expected CEL if the sensor was bad.
