Default Ground wire

Can anyone tell me where i can locate the ground wire on a 2003 Lexus Rx 300 ? i’ve recently replaced my OEM starter which died and burnt out when it didn’t disengage after starting. on the new starter i had an issue when attempting to start car the starter made a fast high pitch whine sound and didn’t engage. i waited a few seconds and was successfully able to start car normally. i had 2 people tell me that usually when this happens it means a ground connection is bad, dirty,or broken. the battery is new the alternator is charging properly. Can anyone help? Thanks in Advance!!

There are multiple ground connections. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/rx-...l#post10525017

The old starter that didn't disengage probably had a stuck starter solenoid. Don't know what is going on with the new one.

After checking the ground connections and if the problem persist. See my opinion below.

The high pitch whine sound you described, to me, seems like it came from the starter pinion drive trying to spin the fly wheel.

I suspect the fly wheel teeth were damaged because the starter pinion drive didn't disengage after the vehicle started.

Have your mechanic inspect the fly wheel.
