Door ajar indicator light acting up?
Went to work this morning and when I try to arm/lock the vehicle, I got a long steady beep instead of a single quick beep. I remotely unlock it and lock it again but it still will not lock. I manually locked it from the inside and will look at it tonight.
When I was driving home, I notice the door ajar indicator light was on. Finally when I got home, I open and shut every door including the tailgate again a couple of times. Still the ajar indicator light still didn't go away. I figure there was something wrong with the door sensor. I called the Dealership and asked them and they said the sensor might be stuck but I checked the door and really didn't see any sensors. Probably is operated mechanically.
I then pulled out the coin box and pulled the door fuses out but still the ajar indicator was still there. I then disconnected the battery and it fixed it! I don't know if this is considered a tip or not or just an indicator that there is something short circuiting in there. But for now, it seems to be working again.
Just wanted to share this with everyone. Did anyone have this similar problem before? Hope it was just a fluke.
