Default Factory/Stock Wheel Interchange Options?

Hi, all. From reading in the archives I know that stock Lexus RX330/400h/06-09 RX350 wheels will fit and work on my 99 RX300. Will 2010-15 RX350/450h wheels also fit? Will wheels off related platforms like the Lexus ES work? Thanks.

10-15 RX will work too, 16-22 will not unless you swap to longer wheel studs. I'd stick w/ Highlander, RX, 19+ RAV4 and NX. All the other Toyota/Lexus wheels have an offset of 45 vs 35 and they will look weird and not fit properly as they'll be too sucked in.

Thanks - I presume the stock tire sizes of the donors will work as well? I recall reading that the big problem with larger/wider tires is hitting the lower spring seat on the rear struts.

16-22 RX clears by a hair. It cleared on my 2002 Highlander which uses RX300 rear struts, but on my 2008 RX350 the rear spring perch is a little lower in the rear so it didn’t.

The 3rd gen RX and 2nd gen Highlanders ones should clear all. The tires from the other cars listed are the same diameter. Not sure if the 245 tire size will clear the front when you turn though, it does at least on a 1st gen Highlander which has a different front suspension and front body.

Thanks. In case anyone is wondering, the reason I'm looking at later larger diameter wheels is to make the RX more future-resistant in the long term as the tire selection for 16" tires is slowly getting worse. Additionally, I have access to new dealer takeoffs of the appropriate size, just 17" or 18", for next to nothing, so that makes quite a lot of immediate financial sense for me.

Great excuse to upgrade to the 3rd gen RX front brake setup too if your originals ever fail. Super easy to find parts for, and they feel great and hold up very well.

Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately for my wallet) the previous owner had just done all four brakes immediately prior to my purchase. But that's an idea for next time.

What size tires did you have on those 19s?

235 55 19 with the stock offset no problems. Stick to stock if thinking about coil over as changes whole driving experience. I can enjoy it on a smooth surface but i did it for looks as low with kit

Do you have any pictures of the how your car sits with the coilovers? What brand did you go with? I’ve got front and rear sway bars and lowering springs and the car handles great, but I want to go juuuust a few inches lower.

I have DGR coilovers i am winding it up at moment but can sit lower and be firmer. I am not really liking it as unless flogging it no advantage as sacrificed ride comfort for looks. My had lowered springs before this is my 3rd time i completely changed suspension. Do you know anywhere selling aftermarket heavy duty bars, I had a second strut bar, front bottom, rear bottom, strut rear. I can't replace these someone taxed mine along with other parts.

On my 2002 Highlander I have a 26mm front sway bar from a 2015 RX350 and an Addco 2109 22.2mm rear sway bar. That Addco bar would fit a 98-03 AWD RX, but the weak stock brackets snap within about a month, so I designed some heavy duty ones to eliminate flex and to be able to handle the extra stresses. IIRC the RX300 has a 17mm front sway bar, but it also has a different front suspension setup than a 2nd gen RX or 1st gen Highlander so I'm not sure about the compatibility of said front bar (the bar and brackets look different). I do know any rear bar that would fit a 2001-2003 Highlander AWD would fit a 1998-2003 AWD RX300 though.
