Hello everyone, I’m new here to the forums and I was just wondering if anyone can help me with the install on the electronics side of the Bazooka exhaust electronic valves. I was doing some searching in the forums and I couldn’t find any install guides. I was wondering where you guys (owners of the same system) may have tapped in to get power for the valves. I appreciate any help you guys can give me. Thank you.🙂
im not familiar with that system but am familiar with valved systems (gt haus gtc electronic and ppe elite series vacuum). at a high level, you'll want to find a line that is 'accessories' or power is on when hitting the start/stop button versus a constant. if it gets connected to constant power, you'll introduce a parasitic drain on the battery which will eventually deplete your battery and cause other issues. you can generally use a 'test light' to find accessories power.
You're going to take the main harness for the valves and put it up through the plug in the bottom of the trunk. Route the harness over to the amplifier on the passenger side of the trunk. The harness only has two wires to hook up. One is a ground. The other is hot. Pick any ground wire or ground location and connect the ground. Use a meter or test light to find a hot in the amplifier harness. The hot is going to be a larger blue wire that will stand out when you get there. Splice in the hot and you're all done.
Hope this helps. If you need any more clarification please feel free to email us. Service@rr-racing.com

Is it the thicker light blue wire right off of the amp harness that I need to tap into?

Do these instructions also apply to the IS 500?
Also, what is the torque spec for the bolts?
