Chirping tires on the highway?
Dumb question, picked up a RCF a few months ago and loving it. Tires are pretty new, car runs strong, etc. I just recently started pushing it hard a bit, and noticed in sport plus when at WOT (flooring coming off a on ramp, etc) when it shifts the tires are breaking loose for just a millisecond. This is my first automatic car I have had, is this normal? I am talking perfect weather also, not wet. Thanks

Yeah, the torque converter is locked in manual mode to make the shifts faster and direct with a very mechanical connection and no slippage. They could chirp in 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd shift. What type of tires do you have? It also depends on the type of tires and how much time they take to warm up (and increase in traction).

Yeah, those are the OEM PSS tires, I assume. They need plenty of heat in them before they start gripping properly. That is also a reason why they might be chriping.
