Nails in tires- Michelin Pilot Super Sport Summer Tires
Hi All-
I am getting frequent nails in the tires of my Michelin Pilot Super Sport Summer Tires. The technicial at Merchants said my tires are "soft" and tend pick up lots of nails.
Have any of you had a similar experience with Michelins? I love these tires but it is frustrating getting flats and going in for repairs. Should I switch to another tire?
thank you

I'm running Michelin, but haven't picked up a nail or anything else, since I've been running them. Do you drive near a construction zone, residential area being built,etc...that you can recall ?? My wife had an issue similar to this a year or so ago. They were building homes in an area close to our house. She would always come home that way, even before construction began, so she never thought anything about it. Since I'm the one that keeps the vehicles clean, I noticed there was always something stuck in her tires (nails,tacks,screws,etc)...I asked her to come home the long way (as she calls it) & not another issue

I'm pretty sure the tires on my SC430 (Michelin Pilot A/S) are magnetic.
They pick up every damn nail and screw in the road.
I've probably had 15 metal objects removed from my tires over the course of the 7 years I've had the car.
Got to the point that I bought a plug kit for the tires and now I just do it myself at home when it happens.

I agree with MDames2, it has more to do with where you drive than what you drive. Stay away from construction areas and hardware store alleys.
