Hi! Not sure if there is a thread on this already so apologies in advance! My rear spoiler mechanism stopped working today, 6,200 miles into the car. Found a broken rivet rattling in the trunk (attached). Managed to fish it out using a tiny magnet, attached to a wire hanger . Anyone else experienced this? Not the rivet but just the spoiler stop working . Going to take it in for service. Let me know!

Do a search. There was a service bulletin to replace the spoiler controller and unjam the spoiler if it got stuck. Nothing about parts falling off though, that's new.
Apparently this part is one time use and if it breaks, it needs to be replaced. It helps drain any water that goes in under the spoiler. As luck would have it, it's not in the catalog of parts, so the Parts Department is looking for it! Car is still in the shop until they locate the part
