New battery Monday
Hey all,
My mechanic is changing out my battery on Monday along with some other things and I was curious if there was any steps that needed to be performed after.
What I mean is I had an Acura once where you had to enter a code after the car lost battery power to make the radio and NAV screen work again.
Didn't know if the RC-F had anything similar. Thanks for the guidance.

I replaced my battery with the new Antigravity lightweight battery myself. I did not have to do anything to make the systems work. Everything came right back up. Not too sure about your presets especially in the infotainment system, but seat memory settings were still there.

Realistically the best thing is to tap the start button twice without foot on brake to turn on ignition without starting. Let the radio boot all the way up (you'll see a please wait message). Turn off, then go ahead and start it.
With todays technologies, I would expect that newer car settings should be saved in some type of programable memory space. If your radio keeps its presets then I wpould be right...at least on the radio side of saving settings.
Your radio can fail after the battery is replaced or disconnected if you try to start the car immediately. This happened to me. The dealership told me in the future after the battery is replaced or disconnected to follow exactly the procedure LoSt180 recommended.
I just replaced my battery a few weeks ago and after researching the same question, I found and followed the following procedure. note: my car failed to start and the headlights started flashing and dash lights were going crazy after the battery died.
I replaced the battery, then Pressed the Start button without pressing the brake. Press the radio button on and wait for the system to load. Be patient.... Once the navigation screen came up, I started the car normally and everything was good to go. Still had my audio and seat settings.

All is well. It appears everything was preserved, radio, seat mem, bluetooth pairing of my phone, etc.
I asked him if he had to do anything weird to get it to come back to life and he said it just fired right up.
Mind you I had a functioning battery that never died, it was just 4 years old and Florida eats batteries every few years so it was a preventative swap.
