Default Tilt-away wheel issues?

Hey everyone, I’m new to the Lexus and RCF world, so far love everything about the car! I just purchased a 2016, with 6k miles (Nebula grey with red leather). My problem is that occasionally the tilt away steering doesn’t work....I’ve googled and can find no mention of this happening to anyone? The motor works fine manually, and all the other electronic mirrors, seats, windows seem to be functioning normally. It only occasionally happens and then starts working again as normal? Thoughts? Taking in for an oil change this week, but umm sure it will he working fine for them Thanks in advance.

There is an ECU for it. Usually it can throw CEL if it malfunctions, but looks like you did not so you might have to take it to the dealership to have it checked out.

Thanks, yes no CEL as of yet, so I plan on mentioning to the dealer since it’s still under warranty but I doubt they’ll see a record of unless it happens to do it while it’s there.

Well I believe something is going on with the sensor that has to do with acknowledging the car is in “park”. The last few times it’s happened, I jiggle the gear selector and put the car in drive and then park a few times and the wheel will tilt away again. I’m taking it in to the dealer and I’ll see if they can diagnose the actual problem.
