I was wondering if any of you RCF owners have installed the Tanabe exhaust?? Thinking about purchasing.. But I couldn't really tell the difference in the sound compared to the stock exhaust??
I liked it, what I didn’t like is the drone on highway speeds, but you will get drone with any aftermarket set up.
That is not correct. Depends on the design and construction/quality of the exhaust. Invidia is a full catback exhaust and it has no drone at all at highway speeds.

I had the Tanabe exhaust on my IS-F and it was much brawnier in tone than my Invidia Exhaust on my RC-F. I wish I could get my RCF to sound like my ISF did.
^^^^The drone is not speed related, it's RPM related. If it happens, it happens between 1800 and 2100 RPM.

Yeah, I understand. That is why I said 7th or 8th gear as most of the time cruising on highway, it is around 1800 - 2100 rpm in the tallest gear. I never hear any droning/bassy noise/resonance on highway speeds.
When the RCF with the Borla exhaust is floored (especially in M Sports+ in the right gear with rpm's above 4K) people hear you and most will get out of your way. Just don't do it near schools and parks with children nearby bc it will scare them!!!
Most of the time during high speed highway cruising, there is no drone. HOWEVER, I guess if you are in that 1800 or so rpm, you MAY temporary hear something. I don't cruise around in that rpm range. So the so called "drone" may only happen for a second as I rev way higher pass that and onto the next gear. In top 8th gear, there is no drone.
