Found a new home for my RCF so picked up this C63S Edition One (winter wheel/tire set up is currently on)!
TBH, I did not find the RCF fun to drive, and felt more like a quick daily driver. This thing is the sauce. First time in a long time where I am very excited about the sound of the stock exhaust and how it drives!
Congrats on finding a car that makes you happy. The RCF won't be that car for everyone. As a guy who has probably owned around 20 cars over the past 25 years, believe me I know that while some cars are "the sauce" for some people, they might not be that for others.
Other than the obvious power difference, what do you mean by the fact that the RCF feels like a quick daily but the C63 doesn't? To me, the RCF is like a cross between the vanilla practically and reliability of a Camry, crossed with the playfulness and grunt of a Mustang GT all wrapped in the understated and minimalist luxury that is distinctly Lexus. I'd love to read your comparisons between the C63 and the RCF.
The sauce for you but not for me, I would never ever buy any C class. I would only go E AMG as a minimum. C classes are a dime a dozen and a lot of AMG ones as well. Of course this is all subjective to personal taste, but the RCF is a million times more unique! It's also a coupe, and I can list off a million others things that favour it in my opinion.
But if you feel that it was a good switch, then enjoy it and I'm happy you found a car that excites you!!
I love the phrase, "The Sauce." I will use it for probably a week until my wife tells me to stop. I just told my wife the coffee this morning is " The sauce."

Congrats on your purchase, I had a 2016 Edition 1 for about a year, was fun to drive but sold it after a year - I hope you keep this a long time and enjoy it regularly.
I agree with your point on stock setup, however, they are problems with that comparison... if you pretend they're both new at 2016 the price point is off by about 10k, if you put that 10k into the RCF it will sound and out perform the Edition 1, but that isn't your point. I agree more effort should have been made by Lexus/Toyo to make the RCF a sports car that it intended to market but it catered to both worlds whereas the 50+ crowd that doesn't mind the brute grunt of an AMG usually turns to the ZL1 Vette market.
I took similar thoughts when I got my Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, I did not get the Carbon brake package of 10k addon but I added it later for 6k, I did not get the titatium exhaust option for 14k but later went for what I wanted for less than 7k... so in short, the money saved on my Porsche I got back in customizing and saved a bit in the end but the main difference of that is what was financed and what was put up later in cash hit the pocket differently.
I only get excited on my RCF cold start in the morning (only have ARH mid pipe changed) aside from that I get nothing from the sound afterwards and its disappointing but my GF made it pretty clear that it won't be getting louder than that unfortunately as she drive the car here and there.

Re: the sound, I felt the same way. I then added full exhaust, intake, PPE headers, and RR Racing chip. The F puts a smile on my face now every time I drive it. The added power makes it even better.
Yes... that c63s is a beast.. one day I ran up to one and the exhaust was loud, couldn’t really tell if was stock or aftermarket, gave me a thumbs up on the stop light...
I spent a good amount of money on parts for the RCF to make myself enjoy it, but with this C63S I’m pretty content with how it is stock. I’ll put springs on it, but I don’t have the urge to buy wheels, exhaust, coilovers, etc...

E class is too big for me. C is a perfect size and enough room for a car seat!
I've driven a few variants of the AMG's including the C63S. The C63S definitely feels more like a beefed up hot rodder in comparison to the RCF. With the AMG's rowdy exhaust note and tail happy characteristics, I think it takes the cake over the RCF in the fun factor department. Although my preference of the overall package still lies with the RCF, I certainly understand how the C63S would be more appealing for some. Nothing wrong with switching it up from the RCF. Life is short, try as many variants as you can and enjoy them.
On another note, didn't you have the Molten performance pack RCF? Did you sell to a private party or trade in? If you don't mind sharing, I'm curious as to what you sold the car for, or if it was perhaps one I've seen advertised lately.
